We have collected a set of tools that can be helpful when you are designing webpages.

  • Inspecting the HTML code and the CSS settings can be done by using the Firebug Addon for Firefox, or the IE Developer Toolbar for Internet Explorer 7.

  • All is not the same in different browsers. If you need to check how your design looks in IE6, we recommend that you install the Multiple IE.

  • Screen-resolution shows you how the webpage looks in different resolutions. Just enter the URL and check for yourself.

  • The browser and screen resolutions statistics can be found at w3schools. Please be aware that this is gathered from users that have an interest in web technologies, so the statistics may be different for the users that visit your site. To check your site, you can click on these links to open a test-window: 800x600 pixels, 1024x768 pixels

  • To check the size of objects and distances on the screen, we recommend the Cool Ruler from Fabsoft.

  • Every webpage needs good illustrations. We can recommend Fotolia and iStockphoto if you are looking for pictures, images and design.

  • Making sure that the website is Accessible is an important part of what abcOnline-CMS does. But even the CSS must be accessible, here are the CSS Techniques for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
