eMarketServices

eMarketServices is a long time ongoing project that informs companies of the benefits of e-business and in particular the use of electronic marketplaces. The project is operated by 7 different trade promotion organisations and the homepage has been up and running since 2000 with more than 1.000 daily visitors.

Of course, a homepage that has existed that long needs to be updated. Times are changing and the focus of such a project must be changed accordingly. And that is why eMarketServices updated their homepage with a content management system.

However, not all CMS are created equal. The programme that was used allowed the project members to add new content, but only with expensive assistance from external companies it was possible to change the design, add new types of information and make the necessary changes that were required.

The alternative was to pay the price and have the changes done as it now was appropriate - or change the tool.

eMarketServices decided to change CMS and chose abcOnline. And the result was that at no higher cost than already planned for the old CMS, the whole site was re-built within a very short time, with a better design - and not least: a solution that the project itself can maintain whenever they want to add new content.

Within a few weeks the homepage started changing, re-structuring the content according to the needs of the companies and that is what e-business is all about.
